VITEX ZIRCONIUM: Self-sharpening High-Tech Products
VITEX ZIRCONIUM abrasives are ideal for grinding all steels and steel alloys, cast iron and nonferrous metals such as aluminium, brass and bronze. The special coating technique makes them suitable for both manuel and machine grinding.

The abrasives of these high-tech series offer VITEX quality at the highest level. Thanks to their continuous self-sharpening, they achieve extremely high cutting performance, long life and therefore economic grinding. At the same time, they enable an enhanced surface finish to be achieved.

For dry grinding of stainless and high-temperature steels, we recommend the use of TOP SIZE products. Their additional layer (TOP SIZE) increases the cutting performance many times over and reduces the temperature at the ground surface.
The principle of the VITEX ZIRCONIUM: Self-sharpening
The grain of these abrasives contains finely distributed aluminium oxide (Al2O3) and zirconium oxide (ZrO2) next to each other. During the grinding process, the somewhat softer ZrO2 is worn down first, after which the brittle Al2O3 breaks out. In this way the grain continuously produces new cutting edges.
